Narrative Text vs Recount Text: The Difference between Narrative Text and Recount Text

Definition
Narrative Text” is a text telling a story focusing specific participants. Its social function is to tell stories or past events and entertain the readers.
Recount Text” is a text which retells events or experiences in the past. Its purpose is either to inform or to entertain the audience.
Generic Structure
Orientation: Introducing the participants and informing the time and place
Complication: Describing the rising crises which the participants have to do with
Resolution: Showing the way of participants to solve the crises, better or worse
Orientation: Introducing the participants, place and time
Events: Describing series of events that happened in the past
Reorientation: It is optional: Stating personal comment of the writer to the story.
Language Features
Using processes verbs
Using temporal conjunction
Using Simple Past Tense
Introducing personal participant;
Using chronological connection;
The, first, etc.
Using linking verbs
Using action verb
Using simple past

If it has been already like this, so what is the difference?
The difference is very clear, a Narrative Text story contains problems, inhibitions, and difficulties which must be solved. A kind of this story, we usually find in a legend text.
Whereas Recount Text story contains an usual story, in diary arrangement, it hasn’t to mention the problems.

  3. So does one of them has to be true? For example i'm reading about malin kundang folklore, is it count as narrative? or an recount I can't tell
