Speech on Fourth Winner in East Java Province for SMA/MA/SMK Level
Assamualaikum
Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
Your Excellency
President of this Agenda
The
Honorable Juries
My beloved
brothers and sisters
Firstly, all praises be to Allah, the lord
of the world, the master of the day after, the creator of everything in this
universe and he has no partner.
Secondly, blessing and salutation always
be given to the last messenger, Prophet Muhammad SAW who had guided us from the darkness to the
lightness, from stupidity to the cleverness, from jahiliyah era into islamiyah
era until we can get the best religion namely Islamic religion.
Thirdly, I don’t forget to say thanks very
much to the master of ceremony who has given me opportunity to deliver my speech entitled “the
importance of healthy and
sustainable environment ”.
Well, brothers and sisters
As we all know that cleanness is the most
important thing in our life
because by having clean environment, we will get good health and of course we
can do all our daily activities well. But today’s era many people do not care
the environment around them. So it can lessen the quality of cleanness and it
can make uninteresting environment. Uninteresting environment can also be
called by a dirty environment which consists of many diseases. So it can damage
the people’s health till they cannot do anything because of being sick
Well,
happy audiences ladies and gentlemen.
Almost many people have known that it is very
complicated for us to get cleanness if we do not have strong desire to start it
from our own self. We are from
senior high school students and good students who love environment. We must keep our
environment clean and green. The effort to get health is only having a good sense of care to the environment
around. So the God would kindly to
give us a health because as said:” cleanness is part of belief.” .That is God
likes best. In this case we can say that a healthy environment is the most
essential one to have good health and nice life for a bright future
Well,
happy audiences ladies and gentlemen.
Besides,
it is also advantageous keeping our environment sustainable. We have to do anything
by not utilizing the natural resources excessively and balancing it in daily
life. Unfortunately, we can see nowadays that the destruction of our earth is
due to our attitude as human being. If we cannot survive our environment well, of course the world will change harmful and it will become global warming.
Happy
brothers and sisters
Prince
Charles, in his delivery speech at Oxford
to mark 25th anniversary of the Oxford Center of Islamic Studies on
June 15th , 2010 said that many of Nature's vital, life-support
systems nowadays struggled to cope under the strain of global
industrialization. How they will manage if millions people achieve Western
levels of consumption is highly disturbing to contemplate. The problems are
only going to get much worse, particularly about climate change in the run up
to the Copenhagen conference in 2009.
The
actual facts are that over the last half century, for instance, we have
destroyed at least thirty percent of the world's tropical rainforests and if we
continue to chop them down at the present rate, by 2050 we will end up with a
very disturbing situation. In fact, in the three years since we started our Rainforest
Project to try and help find an innovative solution to tropical deforestation,
over 30 million hectares have been lost, and with them this planet has lost
about 80,000 species. When we consider that a given area of equatorial trees
evaporates eight times as much as rainwater as an equivalent patch of ocean, we
quickly start to see how their disappearance will affect the productivity of
the Earth. They produce billions of tones of water every day and without that
rainfall the world's food security will become very unstable.
The
Britain’s Prince even challenges us
to act responsibly toward the environment. What makes humankind’s predatory
environmental practices so unethical and immoral, the Prince said, is that they
are “contrary to the teachings of each and every one of the world’s sacred
traditions.” The solution to
our deepening environmental crisis cannot be solved by science and technology
alone. “Only sacred traditions have the capacity to help this happen.”
Happy audiences ladies and gentlemen
Well,
it is very important for us to understand more about the earth where we stay nowadays,
that’s in 2008 possible global recession, food shortage, conflict between nations
over dwindling natural recourses. The world population will surpass 6.6 billion
and for next of 2100 a combination of global warming and other factor will push
many ecosystems to the limit forcing them to exceed the natural ability to
adapt the climate change.
As
human being we will not have eternal life because it’s our destiny as creature
of the god Allah, where there is a creator there is creature. To understand
more about the climate of our earth nowadays, let’s elaborate you that we are now
in the middle of climate change timeline that the earth will be worse than
before. So we are in danger right now. Remember that there is no longer any
doubt that every ecosystem that life depends on is compromised and in danger.
And
what’s also discussed by Prof. Dzul Kifly Abdul Razak, a Malaysian scientist in
seminar of sustainable development conducted in State University of Malang at 9th
of February 2009 is that we are now in the middle of the world life and it will
be more dangerous because of earth changes between green and red.
In
1819 we still live in a green sign. Year to year it turns out worse especially
in the predicted time in 2100 our earth will appear extremely redline or
globally very warmed.
Thankful
to the God because now our beloved country, Indonesia in his study is included country
whose Biocapacity is more than 50 %.It means that we still live safely for the
time being, unlike most of European countries and some of Asian countries that
are lack of biocapacity.
Additionally,
our country which is known as the emerald of equator, has an important role to
keep the balance of world ecological system. 63 percent (or 1,134,000 km2) of
our land territory is still as a forest. Meanwhile, the water area is more than
317,000,000 km2. 17 percent of world plant and animal species live in Indonesia.
It indicates that the ecosystem and environmental condition in Indonesia
will affect the world. In other words, the environmental damage in Indonesia
will influence the sustainability of world environment.
That’s
why, we as youth generation must not let it less day by day. It is our
responsibilities to stay in balance between our life and environment. If so,
what should we undertake as students of senior high school? Let me give you a simple action that can be
hazardous or beneficial for us. In our school environment today actually we
still don’t understand what we have to do for the rubbish around us. To solve
the rubbish we must not burn it because it’s very dangerous for the ecosystem
under the rubbish or around it. Animals under or at the ground will die if we
burn the garbage. It is right for us to make a hole, put it inside and let it
be a compos.
So
the recycle of the environment will run well. Otherwise, it will make the earth
harmful till what we have known global warming can be done actively. So please
beware of our action that causes bad impact for ourselves.
So
I sum up that we have to keep our environment clean through our real activity
and do fruity things to make it remain sustainable. Last but not least GO CLEAN
AND GO GREEN INDONESIA!
I
think that is all what I can present for this time if I have many mistakes in
my speech pardon me please! Finally I say …
Wassalmu alaikum
Warahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh
